Wildcats beat ladies

Away to Woodley Wildcats, Sunday 21st February, Lost 45-41

Again an evenly matched team and with a history of close games this encounter was to be no different and there was little to call between the sides. The deciding factor was perhaps a greater hunger in the closely stages by the opposition for the win. Bring on the season closer where these two teams meet again!

Top scorer was Annabelle with 23 points

Squad: Annabelle (23), Helen (6), Jo (6), Becky (2), Anne (2), Milena (2)

The storm knocks the ladies down again

Home to Aztec Storm, Wenesday 10th February, Lost 49-33

The ladies hosted the might storm this time around and took them closer but the quality of the opposition again told out as they took a comfortable win.

Top scorer was Jo with 12 points

Squad: Jo (12), Annabelle (9), Elaine (5), Helen (2), Robyn (2), Milena (2), Clara (1), Becky

The Storm too strong for the ladies

Away to Aztec Storm, Sunday 24th January, Lost 68-46

The ladies played an excellent game keeping Aztecs honest throughout but the strength and depth of the opposition, led by their powerful number 12, was too much for the ladies in this occassion. A well fought and enjoyable game.

Top scorer was Annabelle with 10 points

Squad: Annabelle (10), Jo (9), Elena (9), Helen (8), Elaine (4), Clara (4), Milena (2), Becky, Anne, Robyn

Plate Winners!

Aldershot Garrison, Sunday 31st January, Won 82-34

The season so far for the Blackhawk ladies has had its ups and its downs but the team came to the final of the Wessex Plate determined to win. Against them was a younger, and potentially fitter, team with good shooting ability.

It was Woking however, who started the game showing the most energy, applying pressure on defence, forcing turnovers and leading to consecutive fastbreaks. The points quickly mounted up with the quarter ending 24-3.

The ladies win through to the plate final

Home to Farnborugh Phantoms, Wednesday 20th January, Won 55-24

With Farnborough riding high in division 2 this was not going to be an easy ride for the ladies but they came out with purpose and controlled the game from start to finish. A total team effort that sees the ladies compete for silverwear at the end of the month.

Top scorer was Clara with 16 points

Squad: Clara (16), Jo (10), Annabelle (9), Robyn (8), Helen (6), Elaine (6), Becky, Anne
