Hunters Lose Another Close Game

Blackhawk Hunters 67 - 70 LT Craftsmen

A hard fought contest came down to the last minute of the 4th quarter on Thursday night, as the Hunters could not prevent the go ahead 3 point play from the LT Craftsmen. Dave Nuttall's 3 pointer in the dying seconds fell short - partly thanks to a controversial no call from the referees.

Scoring:

Dave Nuttall: 19

Nick Sammut: 13

Vince Elwick: 12

Alex BP: 11

Rick Lansdell: 8

Ady Jayaram: 2

Hunters Cup Bid Ends Where It Started

Blackhawk Hunters 57 - 64 Aztec Jaguars

Woking pushed hard but could not grind out a win against a very physical Aztec team. In a game where offense was very hard to come by, Vince Elwick lit up the first quarter to keep the visiting Hunters in it. Dave Nuttall started scoring well in the 2nd half, but the team fell short.

The Hunters will now prepare for a visit to the ever-volatile LT Craftsmen next week.

Scoring:

James Wildsmith 16

Dave Nuttall 15

Vince Elwick 14

Harris Porter 2

Rick Lansdell 2

Hunters Keep Visiting Dogs On The Leash

Woking Blackhawk Hunters 85 - 75 Hungerford Dogs

With a lot of new faces in a lot of new places, the Hunters were keen to get their season off to a good strong start on Thursday night. Only the visiting Hungerford Dogs and their full court defence stood in their way.

Hunters Fall To Warriors On The Road

Woking Blackhawk Hunters 51 - 62 Windsor Warriors

Heading out to an away game without your starting point guard is always tough. Woking found themselves with a difficult game as they faced the Windsor Warriors on Thursday.

Despite good efforts from all involved, the Hunters could not get their offence going, managing just 9 points in the 2nd quarter.

New Look Hunters Tip Off New Season At Home

The Woking Blackhawk Hunters underwent an off season of great change this year. With relocations, university courses and injuries all playing a part, only four of last year's squad have returned to the team this season. Thankfully, the new additions are more than capable and keen to make a splash in Wessex Div 1.

The season begins this Thursday (29th) at the Hawk's Nest against the feisty Hungerford Dogs.
