Whilst the Bears have only lost a single game this season the Flyers were buoyed by their recent victory over second place Thames Valley Cavaliers who had also only lost a single game. If the Flyers won then a place in the playoffs would be highly likely.

From the tip the Flyers played confidently and by the seventh minute had established a nine point lead 21:12. The Bears responded and went on a run which trimmed the lead to 1 point by the first break 21:20.

By the half the Bears a lead of 12 and this was  widened to 25  at the end of the third quarter. The Flyers were not finished and at the start of the fourth quarter went on a 14 point run without response from the Bears and further progressed until at one stage the lead had been trimmed to 9 points. The Bears however ran out the final quarter with a 15 point win but losing the quarter 20:10
